Dana White’s Contender Series takes place on Wednesday night in the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

This is a five-fight UFC card with Dana White deciding at the end of the night what fighters will be offered a contract.

Bruno Oliveria (+170) vs. Carlos Ulberg (-220)

Bruno Oliveria and Carlos Ulberg will face off in a light heavyweight contest for the main event of the night. Ulberg only has fought two fights in MMA competition, but before that, he was an elite kickboxer that comes from that background. For Oliveria, he only has lost one fight overall and he has won each of his last three fights. Two of those fights were wins by knockouts. Oliveria very well could make it to the UFC at some point but he is still very raw, and I don’t see a way to victory for him in this game. Back Ulberg on the money line.

Ignacio Bahamondes (-450) vs. Edson Gomez (+350)

Ignacio Bahamondes and Edson Gomez will face off in a welterweight bout. Gomez did miss weight and his purse will be cut by 20 percent. Bahamondes has a 10-3 record overall and his last fight came two exactly two months ago against Chris Brown and he won by a split decision. Gomez has a 6-1 record and all six of his fights have come by knockout. His last fight came back in December of 2019 and he won by knockout late. Bahamondes is the more skilled fighter and he is going to have no issue getting the job done in this one. Back Bahamondes to win by knockout.

Vince Murdock (+125) vs. Luis Saldana (-145)

Dana White Contender Series Predictions Tonight

Vince Murdock and Luis Saldana face off in a fight that most are very excited to see work itself out. Murdock actually had a UFC contract once, but a rare brain disease threatened his life. This is Murdock’s first fight since 2018 and he will try to get the fight to the ground. Luis Saldana is the favorite in this fight and he has won three fights in a row. Murdock is the better wrestler and he is going ot earn his UFC contract. Back Murdock as the underdog.

Harry Hunsucker (+220) vs. Jared Vanderaa (-260)

Jared Vanderaa and Harry Hunsucker will kick off the night on Wednesday with a heavyweight battle. Hunsucker comes into this fight with a 6-2 record, but this is a big step up in competition. Jared Vanderaa has fought better competition and he is going to have no issue winning this fight. Back Vanderaa to win this fight by knockout.
